Dr. Ismaili spent the majority of her childhood in Lexington, Kentucky. She attended the University of Kentucky, during this time she visited Charleston and fell in love with the city.

She enjoys the historic city with her husband and 4 children. In her free time she enjoys visits to the beach, reading and activities with the children.

She obtained her podiatric degree at the Dr. William M. School College of Podiatric Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science, which she graduated from in 2006. Her post-graduate training consisted of medical and surgical training at Provena St. Mary's Hospital in Kankakee, Illinois outside of Chicago, Illinois. Upon completing her training she lived and worked in Orangeburg, South Carolina for four years before finally finding her way to Charleston.

Dr. Ismaili was trained in all phases of podiatric medicine and surgery. She is currently Board Certified by the American Board of Multiple Specialties in Podiatry. She is an active member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and the South Carolina State Podiatric Medical Association.
